I’m playing NASCAR 2005 Chase for the Cup on X-Box at the moment. Yes, I know it’s old, but it’s fun. Now, I’ve just taken a low end contract with a Nextel Cup team. My problem is, and it’s the same in the Busch Series and the Craftsman truck series race at Daytona. My car is fast enough once it get’s going, but, at the start and after a yellow, my car just does not accelerate fast enough. It goes well until it gets to the top end of 3rd gear and then it shifts to 4th and it drags. The car just seems to take an eternity to get up to speed, all the while the other cars are moving too far ahead to draft, or they pass me. It’s not too bad when I am in front or in the middle of the pack, but when you’re at the back, the cars get out ahead and you are stranded. Can anybody give me a car setup to use to get rid of this problem, I can’t sacrifice too much top speed though.
